Karl's Vintage Mark 20H Collection
This hobby is so neat and to know that there are tons of other guys and gals that love running and restoring these old motors. I went and showed some of my vintage outboard motors and my homemade boat at Swamp Yankee Day, attempting to get A.O.M.C.I. recruits along side Big Dan T. and his mini-sized antiques. Swamp Yankee Day is where they perform wood splitting, corn meal grinding, etc., etc., with use of old motors. It's a great fit for Dan and I as well as Frank from CT. I had placed a 1960's Mattel Vrrooom under the seat of my boat and when people got close, I would use a hand control to fire up the plastic bike engine to make it sound like the boat started up. I also had a Mark 25 with 2-foot stacks as exhaust run in a test tank.
Below are photos of my boat with a Mark 25 at the '04 Webster, MA event and on Johnson's Pond, RI with the Mark 28H.
